Here is the Golden Currant Tomato, Solanum pimpinellifolium. This tiny Golden Currant Tomato, is a Small golden colored tomato. Fruits are as small as a pea! A close relative to the common tomato, with an excellent sweet flavor. This variety bears heavily, often producing several hundred fruits off a single plant. Plants can grow to 10 to 20′ tall. Fruits can be used to make sauce or eaten fresh. Indeterminate Open pollinated. 60-65 days.
Here is the Reisetomate Tomato, Solanum lycopersicum and also known as the Voyage Pocketbook Vine tomato, Riesentomate aus Siebenbürgen, Traveler Tomato, This is the most bizarre tomato we have ever seen! Here is the Douchoua Pepper Tomato, Solanum lycopersicum. This beautiful bell pepper shaped tomato is about the size of a small bell pepper, having a lovely cream white to yellow color. Flavor is good with just the right amount of acid, but fruit is not super juicy, being firm and quite crunchy, refreshing and delicious. Here is the Galapagos Island Tomato, Solanum cheesmanii. Their are 2 species endemic to the islands. This is the Major species. This is very closely related to Solanum galapagense but is NOT the same  as Solanum cheesmanii var minor. A wild tomato found only on the Galapagos Islands. Here is the Garden Peach Tomato, Solanum lycopersicum. This tomato is known for it's peach fuzz on the fruit. In Peru, they are known as the Coconas but don't confuse this with Solanum sessiliflorum Which is also called Coconas. They were Introduced to North America in the mid 1800's. It is a small, bright yellow fruit is the standard globe shape of tomato but with this peach fuzz on it. The fruits are about 2 oz. and around 2.5 inches round. Here is the Wapsipinicon Peach Tomato, Solanum lycopersicum, which was named after the Wapsipinicon River in Iowa. This Fuzzy, Light, creamy yellow, almost white fruit has a superb taste and texture! In 1890, it was introduced and originated by Elbert S. Carman and was known then as White Peach. Dennis Schlicht renamed it later on to Wapsipinicon peach tomato. The taste is complex, with its spicy, sweet and very fruity flavor. The fruits are small, around 2 inches round with the skin being slightly fuzzy like a peach! The Black From Tula Tomato, Solanum lycopersicum, was imported by SSE and offered to members in 1996. Made available commercially by SSE as part of the Russian Collection in 1998. Described by one SSE member as “the ugliest, most delicious tomato I’ve ever grown.” Good yields of brownish-red slightly flattened globes weighing up to 14 ounces. The Black Krim tomato aka Black Crimea tomato, Solanum lycopersicum, was Found in Krim, Russia in 1990 by Lars Olov Rosenstrom of Bromma, Sweden. Here is the Purple Calabash Tomato , Solanum lycopersicum. This tomato originates from Mexico and it's history dates as far back to the pre-Columbian era! The first mention of it was by Thomas Jefferson in his notes in 1781 " Jefferson grew his tomatoes at Monticello in 1809 - the first summer of his retirement - and grew them until his death. The ribbed, bulbous, and scarred Purple Calabash tomato dates back to pre-Columbian Mexico." This tomato is considered a "flat" tomato or some may consider it an "ugly" type tomato. Here is the Belmonte tomato, Solanum lycopersicum This Italian heirloom tomato from the province of Cosenza in Calabria, are variable in shape and often has an elongated neck so it is more of a bell Bartlett pear shape. These Belmonte tomato seeds originated straight from an Italian seed company.  Because of the unusual shape, we thought this Belomnte was in the piriform large pear group of tomatoes. After reading more in Italian, they seem to describe it as a Oxheart Marmande type cross which would explain the variable shape with ribbing.
