Here is the CAP 524 Pepper, Capsicum annuum L. var. glabriusculum, Scoville Units: 25,000 to 40,000 SHU. Most vendors list this variety as a Capsicum chacoense and it is a Capsicum annuum L. var. glabriusculum, Link below for more info on the correct species. This pepper originates from Peru and was entered into the IPK Gatersleben database in 1979 by G. Müller. The peppers are about 1 inch long and upright type. Plants get to around 4 feet tall and will produce well over 100 pods. They grow very similar to a Tabasco pepper but with slightly smaller fruits. More info coming soon! Open pollinated, 85 days.
