Rocoto Guatemalan Orange Pepper
Here is the Rocoto Guatemalan Orange Pepper, Capsicum Pubescens, Scoville units: 10,000 to 65,000+ SHU. This Pepper originates from Guatemala. It is a medium sized oblong rocoto pepper that looks similar to most of the other rocoto peppers but this one is very rare and difficult to get seeds for. Pods get to around 2.25 to 3 inches across with fruits having a orange color. Plants can get to 3.5 feet tall and produce dozens of pods! Please note that the heat varies from pepper to pepper as some fruits are low heat but others may be very hot. We found these to be great for roasting and fresh eating too! Open pollinated mid season 70 to 95+ days.
