This winter squash originated in Waltham, Massachusetts and is a improved version of butternut squash that has a sweet nutty flavor with orange flesh and tan skin. This 1970 All-America Selections winner has larger fruits and smaller seed cavities and can reach 10 inches long and 5-6 lbs. This squash is known for its smooth texture and sweet flavor.
