Here is the San Marzano Lungo No. 2 Tomato Solanum lycopersicum. This is a newer selection of this famous Italian cooking tomato known as the San Marzano. They are Long, cylindrical fruit that are filled with thick, dry flesh and few seeds. Plants get to 6 feet tall in good growing conditions. This version of San Marzano tomato is less likely to get BER but may still get it if you don't add enough garden lime. The San Marzano tomatoes are the number one choice for making paste.
