Here is the Saco de Velho Pepper, Capsicum Chinense, Scoville units: 60,000 to 100,000+ SHU. The Saco de Velho Pepper originates from Goias, Brazil. They are a yellow colored habanero that get extraordinarily hot. They measure up to 2.1 inch long and shinny an slightly rough yellow skin. The plants can reach 48 inches tall and produces dozens of peppers per plant! Pods are hot and smooth while very crisp when dried. These go great in salads, rice & beans, stuffed and salsa! We found this to be a very productive variety and easy to grow in northern climates. Always fruits first year and can over winter. Plants can live for many years in pots and tend to stay around 16 inches tall and ornate but needs support. A must grow for any collector!
