The Purple Foxglove Flower, Digitalis purpurea L, is a bell or trumpet type flower. The flowers are arranged in a showy, terminal, elongated cluster, and each flower is tubular and pendent. The flowers are typically purple, but some plants, especially those under cultivation, may be pink, rose, yellow, or white. WARNING!!     Planting and Harvesting Tips:
    Start indoors 3-4 weeks before the last frost of spring. Transplant outside after the soil has warmed to 65˚ to 75˚F. Sow one inch deep and space 12-18 inches apart in rows 3-4 feet apart. Plants prefer full sun and moist soil with plenty of organic matter. Harvest daily with a sharp knife during hot weather. Wear gloves and long sleeves for protection from spines. !!THIS PLANT IS NOT EDIBLE!!
