Here is the Lyon Pepper also known as the Piment de Bresse pepper, Capsicum annuum, Scoville units: 10,000 ~ 60,000 SHU. This variety originates from the southern season of France and grows on the plains of Lyon. It is considered an ancient Heirloom that has been used for hundreds of years. These small fiery pods are loaded with heat ranging from mid range to high. Plants are short and compact not getting much bigger then 18 inches tall. The peppers ripen from green to red and have a very sweet sugary taste. Ideal to eat fried, roasted, stuffed or fresh! They will make an excellent Chile sauce too! Open pollinated, 70 days.
