Here is the Galapagos Minor Cherry Tomato, Solanum galapagense. This tomato originates from our gardens here in Hazleton PA USA. This is a first of its kind! It is the first galapagense cherry tomato and is a cross between a Solanum lycopersicum (Unknown) and a Solanum galapagense (Galapagos Wild Tomato Hairy Strain Minor Type 1). It is a second variant an F-2 and still throwing out different phenotypes so make sure to plant all your seeds. The flavor of Solanum galapagense is very unique and has a exotic light citrus flavor and the sweetness of a cherry tomato. Plants can get to 4+ feet tall and are very bushy and woolly and seem to be dwarf like. It is also a pretty heavy producer. Fruits are about .70 inch, orange and smooth shiny skin. Keep in mind we did not make this cross it just happened. The genetics is from the wild Galapagos wild minor hairy form tomato (S. galapagense). Open pollinated Indeterminate, Compact or dwarf, woolly regular leaf, currant, mid season, orange, fresh, 527 to 99+ days. LOT# 5 TAG# 334-2022
