Here is the Bico Roxa Pepper, Capsicum chinense, Scoville units: 1,000 to 12,000 SHU. This roxa pepper originates from Brazil ad is a cross between a Biquinho X Pimenta Bode Roxa pepper. They are purple on cream flesh color when fully ripe often times spotted and black patches. They measure up to 3/4 inch long and shinny an smooth skin. The plants can reach 30 inches tall and produces dozens of peppers per plant! Pods are hot and smooth while very crisp. These go great in salads, rice & beans, stuffed and salsa! We found this to be a very productive variety and easy to grow in northern climates. Always fruits first year and can over winter. Plants can live for many years in pots and tend to stay around 16 inches tall and ornate but needs support. A must grow for any collector!
