Here is the Aji Charapita Pepper, Capsicum chinense, Scoville units: 30,000 and 50,000 SHU. This bushy plant from northern Peru produces hundreds of hot small round Tepin like peppers. Also known as Charapilla and Yellow Fire, it is also very similar (if not the same as) Cumani and Tettinas de Monk and Yellow Jellybean. Fruits are round to egg shaped at 3/8 to 1/2 inches wide and long with a lemon yellow color with a very unique flavor.
