Here is the Marglobe Tomato, Solanum lycopersicum. This tomato was developed in 1917 by Frederick J. Pritchard of the United States Department of Agriculture's Agricultural Experiment Station by crossing the Globe and Marvel tomatoes ("Marglobe" is a fusion of the two names). These tomatoes can get to 1+ Lbs easy! It has amazing flavor and making it ideal for slicing. It also makes a great tomato sauce as well. Highly productive and produced fruit all the way up to the end of the tomato growing season!! Open pollinated. Indeterminate. 70 days.
