Here is the Honeydew Melon, Cucumis melo. This melon comes from local farms here in NE Pennsylvania. These melons are a local variety and may even be an heirloom! Most of the time they get to 4 or 5 inches round but in really good soil they can get to 8 inches with an almost white to cream colored skin when fully ripe. Vines can get to 12 feet long and put out as many as a 8 or more fruits! Melons can range in size from 4 inches to 8+ inches round. It has a very smooth lightly sweet honeydew flavor. We found them to have a very long table life with unopened fruits lasting as long as 40 days!  Easy to grow and fun! Open pollinated 70 to 90 days.
