Here is the GRIF 15939 Pepper, PI 645681, Capsicum eximium, Scoville units: 500 to 5,000+ SHU. This rare Pepper originates from Australia and we sourced our seed directly from the USDA. It is a bird sized micro sized pequin shaped pepper that looks similar to a pequin but is not. Pods get to around .25 inches long with fruits having a red colored skin when fully ripe but fruits can take months to ripen from green to red. These pods have a unusual flavor that is very distinctive to the C. eximium species. Plants can get to 3+ feet tall and produce dozens or hundreds of pods! Please note that the heat varies from pepper to pepper as some fruits are low heat but others may be very hot. We found these to be great for drying and fresh eating too! Makes a great house plant as they do well in pots and winter over very well. Please note: This peppers are very tiny and are hard to collect because of their size. Open pollinated mid to late season 65 to 100+ days.
