Here is the Cantaloupe Melon, Cucumis melo var. cantalupo. This melon comes from local farms here in NE Pennsylvania. These melons are a local variety and may even be an heirloom! Most of the time they get to 4 or 5 inches round but in really good soil they can get to 6 inches with a typical rind. Vines can get to 10 feet long and put out as many as a 7 or more fruits! Melons can range in size from 4 inches to 6 inches round. It has a very smooth lightly sweet Cantaloupe Melon flavor. We found them to have a good table life with unopened fruits lasting as long as 10 days!  Easy to grow and fun! Open pollinated 60 to 77 days.
