Candlelight Mutant Pepper
Here is the Candlelight Mutant Pepper, Capsicum annuum, Scoville units: 1,000 ~ 8,000 SHU. This strange an unusual variety is said to be the same as the Pimento Del Deserto or Pimento del Sahara pepper but we find that they are 2 different cultivars. The Candlelight Mutant was discovered by Rauno aKa Bluesman from Finland around 2009. We do not believe this is a mutation but a byproduct of naturalization to a desert climate where we also believe this specific plant profile originated from. It's first appearance was by Massimo Biagi (Italy) who received the seeds from a Moroccan Bedouin who lives in a desert and that is all we know at this time. Compact dwarf Lace leaf plants only getting to 6 inches tall with pods only 1 inch long. Only make a dozen pods or so with very few seeds. Open Pollinated, 75+ days.
