Bulgarian Ratund Pepper
Here is the Bulgarian Ratund Pepper, Capsicum annuum Scoville Units: 000 SHU. This very rare variety that originates from Bulgaria and is said to be introduced to the USA by Hristo Hristov. Slightly wrinkled but mostly smooth skinned, Thick walled Sheepnose type peppers a medium producer and highly sought after. Plants reaching to about 3 feet in height have emerald-green fruits that ripen to red an can get to about 3.5 inches in diameter by 2.5 inches long, making them nice and blocky. Productive even in the Northern states do to its cold hardiness. Open pollinated 80 days.
