Bitola Pepper

Capsicum annuum

Here is the Bitola Pepper, Capsicum annuum, Scoville units - 000 shu, Sometimes referred to as Bukov pepper, This Pepper comes from this City Bitola in the Republic of Macedonia. It is very popular throughout the Balkans an used to make (bukovec) which is a dried and crushed pepper mix, used as a spice. This very sweet and chirpy pepper makes beautiful horn shape fruits that taper to a point and can reach 8 inches long. These plants can be very productive and are a bush type not getting to much taller then 20 inches tall. We found this variety especially good for frying with meats! Open pollinated 65 days.
