Aji Peruvian Pepper
Here is the Aji Peruvian Pepper, Capsicum Baccatum, Scoville units: 1,000 ~ 30,000 SHU. This wild baccatum variety from Peru is mildly hot and has a strong berry like aroma. It is one of the most productive varieties in the entire baccatum family. The plant sets hundreds of 3 inches long pods turning from green to orange to bright red. The ripe pods has very sweet flavor making them great for fresh eating or drying and pickling. Plants can get as big as 6.5 feet tall and really spread out and wiry. Early season producer open pollinated, 60 days to end of season.
