Here is the Yellow Jellybean Pepper, PI 260501, Capsicum chinense, Scoville units: 90,000 to 225,000 SHU. The Yellow Jellybean Pepper originates from Peru. This chinense variety is the true and original form and is also known as Yellow Fire Pepper. It has a thin wall type an fruits get to 1/4 inch round and turns green to yellow when fully ripe and has a lemony taste. Plants can get to 2+ feet tall but often times they stay around 1.3 feet but very bushy so need strong supports. Pods are very very hot so eat wisely. These go great in salads, rice & beans and salsa! We found this to be a very productive variety and easy to grow in northern climates.
