Here is the Small Wild Egg Tomato (Wildtomate Pflanze), Solanum pimpinellifolium. The origins of this wild tomato is unknown but does seem to have its roots in Germany. Most websites list it as (Lycopersicon esculentum) But we believe it to be Solanum pimpinellifolium. This wild tomato is a heavy producer with plants that can get to 6+ feet tall. The fruits appear to be a pear shaped currant tomato sometimes resembling a Peanut! Open pollinated, indeterminate, regular leaf, early to mid season, red, currant, 62 to 74+ days.
