Here is the Rocoto Rio Huallaga Pepper, Capsicum Pubescens, Scoville units: 10,000 to  38000 SHU. The Rocoto Rio Huallaga Pepper, sometimes spelled Rocoto Rio Huallago Pepper originates from Peru. Fruits can get to 2 inch long and turns from green to golden yellow when fully ripe with a slightly reddish flesh inside. Plants can get to 36+ inches tall but often times they stay around 26 inches tall but branches seem to pull down when loaded with fruits. Pods are hot but heat can vary quite a bit from pod to pod and have a really nice rocoto smell. Will fruit first year and did really well in a 1 gallon pot. Plants can live for many years in pots and tend to stay around 30 inches tall and ornate if pruned on a regular basis. A must grow for any collector! Open pollinated, mid to late season, very hot, perennial, easy to medium grow, 96 to 100+ days to overwinter for many years. LOT# 3  TAG# 219-2023
