Here is the Ram's Horn Pepper, Capsicum annuum, Scoville units: 10,000 to 25,000 SHU. The Ram's Horn Pepper originates from USA and was introduced by Emily Eidson of South Carolina, whose family grew these heirloom peppers in her childhood around 1910. Fruits get to 7 inch long and turns from green to red when fully ripe. Plants can get to 36+ inches tall but often times they stay around 24 inches tall. Pods are hot and have a really nice peppery taste. Usually fruits first year and did really well in a 1 gallon pot. Plants can live for many years in pots and tend to stay around 18 inches tall and ornate if pruned on a regular basis. A must grow for any collector! Open pollinated, mid to late season, hot, perennial, easy to medium grow, 79 to 100+ days to overwinter for many years. LOT# 6 TAG# 160-2024
