Here is the Pippin's Golden Honey Pepper, Capsicum annuum, Scoville units: 000 SHU. The Pippin's Golden Honey Pepper originates from Philadelphia Pennsylvania, USA and was introduced by William Woys Weaver which he named after Horrace Pippin, a folk artist in the 1940's. We found this variety to be an amazing variety and is the very productive sweet pepper variety. This beautiful sweet pepper has a thin wall thickness an fruits get to 3.25 inch long and turns from a dark purple to amaber then to golden when fully ripe. Plants can get to 36+ inches tall but often times they stay around 18 inches tall. Pods are sweet and have a really nice taste. These go great in salads, hot sauce, salsa and stuffed! We found this to be a very productive variety and easy to grow in northern climates. Usually fruits first year and did really well in a 1 gallon pot. Plants can live for many years in pots and tend to stay around 20 inches tall and ornate if pruned on a regular basis. A must grow for any collector! Open pollinated, mid-late season, hot, perennial, easy to medium grow, 63 to 100+ days to overwinter for many years. LOT# 2 R17 TAG# 120-2022
