Here is the Peperonero Pepper, Capsicum annuum, Scoville units: 5,000 to 6,000 SHU. The Peperonero Pepper originates from Italy and was created by the late Dr. Mario Dadomo from PepperParma. Fruits get to 2.75 inch long and turns from green to black/red when fully ripe. Plants can get to 36+ inches tall but often times they stay around 24 inches tall. Pods are hot and have a really nice peppery taste. Usually fruits first year and did really well in a 1 gallon pot. Plants can live for many years in pots and tend to stay around 24 inches tall and ornate if pruned on a regular basis. A must grow for any collector!
