Here is the Pennsylvania Cayenne Pepper, Capsicum annuum, Scoville units: 30,000 to 80,000 SHU. The Pennsylvania Cayenne Pepper originates from a pepper grower from Honduras living in Hazleton PA. Fruits get to 2.5 inch long and turns from green to red when fully ripe. Plants can get to 36+ inches tall but often times they stay around 26 inches tall. Pods are very hot and have a really nice peppery smell. Usually fruits first year and did really well in a 1 gallon pot. Plants can live for many years in pots and tend to stay around 18 inches tall and ornate if pruned on a regular basis. A must grow for any collector!
