Here is the Mattapeno Pepper, Capsicum annuum, Scoville units: 5,000 to 11,000 SHU. The Mattapeno Pepper originates from the USA. The Mattapeno Pepper is a variegated jalapeno that was first discovered on a pepper farm. They measure up to 2.5 inches long and variegated fruit with a smooth and shinny skin. The plants can reach 3 feet tall and produces dozens of peppers per plant! Pods are very hot but smooth while very chewy and can be dried too. Plants can live for many years in pots and tend to stay around 30 inches tall and ornate but needs support. Please note this variety is not fully stable and other shapes and sizes will come out so make sure to grow all 10 seeds. A must grow for any collector!
