Here is the Hopi Yellow Watermelon Sikyatko, Citrullus lanatus. The Tiger Melon Originates from USA and grown by the Hopi people and the Tohono O'odham tribes in southern Arizona. Also known as Sikyatko, the vines can get to 20 feet long and put out as many as a 7 or more fruits! Melons can range in size from 3 inches to 14.5+ inches round with a striped skin with flesh turning yellow when fully ripe. It has a very smooth lightly sweet almost honeydew flavor and a very unique accent to the flavor as well, almost tropical like. Easy to grow and fun! Open pollinated, late season, yellow 90 to 120+ days.
