Here is the Hidalgo Chiltepin Pepper, Capsicum annuum var.glabriusculum, Scoville units: 80,000 to 220,000 SHU. The Hidalgo Chiltepin Pepper originates from Hidalgo, Mexico. Fruits are elongated and get to .5 inch long and turns from green to red when fully ripe. Plants can get to 96+ inches tall and grows like a bush and really spread out. Pods are high medium heat and have a really nice peppery smell. Will fruit first year and did really well in a 1 gallon pot. Plants can live for many years in pots and tend to stay around 30 inches tall and ornate if pruned on a regular basis. A must grow for any collector!
