Here is the Greek Pepperoncini Pepper, Capsicum annuum, Scoville units 100 ~ 600 shu. This variety originates from Greece but often sold and grown throughout Italy. Do not confuse this with the golden Greek pepperoncini or Italian varieties as they are different cultivars. They are mostly used for pickling but if left to fully ripen they will turn red and develop a nice rich sweet flavor and may sometimes be mildly hot with about 500 SHU at best. Plants can be highly productive producing dozens of pods per plant! Open pollinated, 70 days.
