Here is the Digital Purple Pepper, Capsicum chinense, Scoville units: 60,000 to 100,000 SHU. The Digital Purple Pepper originates from our gardens and is a cross between a Peach Gum Tiger V2 and Kathumby Black Pepper. This is from a seires of crossing experiments in 2017 and has other variations from this cross, This is just one of them. Fruits get to 1.5 inch long and turns from green to a peach mottled with digital purple patching when fully ripe. Plants can get to 36+ inches tall but often times they stay around 26 inches tall. Pods are very very hot and have a really nice fruity smell. Usually fruits first year and did really well in a 1 gallon pot. Plants can live for many years in pots and tend to stay around 18 inches tall and ornate if pruned on a regular basis. A must grow for any collector! NOTE: this variety is not fully stable an may see other variations. Open pollinated, mid to late season, hot, perennial, easy to medium grow, 85 to 100+ days to overwinter for many years.
