Here is the Chiltepin Amarillo Pepper, Capsicum annuum var.glabriusculum, Scoville units: 70,000 to 100,000+ SHU. The Chiltepin Amarillo Pepper originates from Mexico. Fruits get to 3/8 inches round and turns from green to yellow when fully ripe. Plants can get to 39+ inches tall and grows like a bush. Pods are high heat and have a really nice peppery taste. It does fruit first year and did really well in a 1 gallon pot but is a late season harvest. Plants can live for many years in pots and tend to stay around 24 inches tall and ornate if pruned on a regular basis. A must grow for any collector!
