Here is the CAP 1220 Pepper, Capsicum baccatum, Scoville units: 1,000 to 3,000 SHU. The CAP 1220 Pepper origins are unknown. They are a red colored after ripening hanging baccatum pepper. They measure up to 4 inches long, medium walled, juicy and shinny skin. The plants can reach 42 inches tall and produces dozens of peppers per plant! Pods are hot and smooth while very chewy and can be dried. These go great in salads, rice & beans, stuffed and salsa! We found this to be a very a productive variety and easy to grow in northern climates. Always fruits first year and can over winter. Plants can live for many years in pots and tend to stay around 26 inches tall and ornate but needs support. A must grow for any collector!
