Here is the Bedouin Tomato, Solanum lycopersicum. This tomato originates from Russia. It is considered to be a heavy producer. It is also known as Beduin and is considered a Russian heirloom named after the nomadic Bedouin people. The fruits are a red piriform pear shaped tomato with a deep red flesh inside that goes from 2.1" to 2.75+" inches across and weighting around 1.50 to 3 oz. Plants are bushy and can get to 5 feet wide with multiple branches in really good soil but tend to stay around 3 feet tall or wide. Great for salads, eating fresh and for tomato sauce and paste!
