Here is the Aji Charapita Peach Pepper, Capsicum chinense, Scoville units: 25,000 to 45,000 SHU. The Aji Charapita Peach Pepper originates from Peru. They are a green to peach then after ripening. They measure up to .6 inches across and shinny skin. The plants can reach 2.5 feet tall and produces dozens of peppers per plant! Pods are hot and smooth while very chewy and can be dried. These go great in salads, rice & beans, stuffed and salsa! We found this to be a very productive variety and easy to grow in northern climates. Always fruits first year and can over winter. Plants can live for many years in pots and tend to stay around 24 inches tall and ornate but needs support. A must grow for any collector!
