Here is the Venusbrustchen Tomato, Solanum lycopersicum. This tomato originates in Italy from the area around Naples, where it is still cultivated under the name 'Piennolo del Vesuvio' and dried like large grapes and was mentioned by name as early as 1885. There are several variations in color an size but this listing is for the orange plum type. Venusbrüstchen means "Venus breasts" in German and gets it's name due to the long nipple it gets on the bottom of the tomato. We found this tomato to make a fantastic sauce! Open pollinated mid season regular leaf Indeterminate. 60-75 days.
