Here is the Sugar Rush No Stripey Pepper, Capsicum baccatum, Scoville units: 5,000 to 45,000 SHU. The Sugar Rush No Stripey Pepper originated from Finland around 2010 and was created by Chris Fowler from the UK. They are a green to peach ripening and does NOT make stripes. It is NOT totally stable and will kick out many variations including some with no strips which is what this is. They are a very large medium walled, juicy pepper that can be almost sweet to 45K shu! They measure up to 7 inch long and shinny peach skin. The plants can reach 6 feet tall and produces dozens of peppers per plant! Pods are hot or low heat and smooth while very chewy and can be dried. These go great in salads, rice & beans, stuffed and salsa! We found this to be a very productive variety and easy to grow in northern climates. Always fruits first year and can over winter. Plants can live for many years in pots and tend to stay around 32 inches tall and ornate but needs support. A must grow for any collector! PLEASE NOTE: This pepper is not totally stable and may make other changes. Open pollinated, mid to late season, peach color, perennial, easy grow, 90 to 100+ days to overwinter for many years.
