Thunder Mountain Longhorn Orange Pepper
Here is the Thunder Mountain Longhorn Orange Pepper, Capsicum annuum, Scoville units: 20,000 ~ 40,000 SHU. This pepper is an orange variant of the red version and originates from the Leigongshan Mountains in China where it is dried out and smoked. This pepper has a few phenotypes that may come out of this variety. One orange and one red with some being shorter then others. It is a compact and bushy plant but can get to 4 feet tall at times and can be a heavy producer. Pods can get to 14 inches long but remain thin with wrinkles at times. You can Grow it as an ornamental, or in the vegetable garden, or both! Open pollinated, 80 days.
