Crimson Forest Bunching Onion
Here is the Crimson Forest Bunching Onion, Allium fistulosum. It is a bunching onion that makes beautiful crimson red stalks with micro bulbs but a lot of the time they don't make any bulbs at all. They have a rich oniony flavor that goes with any dish but go really good in stir fry's and soups! They are a mid season variety and get between 14 to 16 inches tall and grow really well close together. It does well in northern climates. It's considered a late season Crop but You can over winter them and they will come up the next year. They are Insect an disease resistant and will seed on there second year. Open pollinated 60 days.
