Here is the Aunt Ruby's German Green Tomato, Solanum lycopersicum, and was introduced by Ruby E. Arnold in 1915. This tomato is a beefsteak type tomatoes and can get to about 1-2 pounds, green with a blush of pink on the bottom when fully ripe. They are crack-resistant with smooth skinned fruits and a nice balance of sweet and tangy flavor which makes a great tomato sauce.  A good northern climate tomato variety.
